Newwest Travel Office

Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Newwest Travel office is closed to the public.
We hope you understand that the safety and well being of our staff and clients are at top of mind. You can still contact us via phone or email, we are here to assist you Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Our office is experiencing a very high number of requests due to the COVID-19 travel advisories.
We are working on the requests as quickly as we can. We ask that you remain patient as we work on the requests in a departure date specific order.
Thank you for your understanding during this very overwhelming time.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide more updates as they become available.

March 18 Update

In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, effective March 19 all of our Newwest Travel staff will be working from home.

COVID-19 Updates

The COVID-19 coronavirus has become a global pandemic. Below are links to the latest information about COVID-19 and travel.
The latest updates on COVID-19 can be found on the Government of Canada’s website . You can also visit the Public Health Agency of Canada for the most current updates for Canadians.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is monitoring the global situation and has updates, information and advice on its website . The WHO has also developed a list of recommendations to reduce exposure to, and transmission of coronavirus. From washing your hands, to staying home if you feel ill, there are many things you can do to protect yourself and loved ones from illness.

 

Travel Restrictions

As the situation is very fluid, we recommend you visit the the Government of Canada’s travel advice and advisories page for current updates.
If you are returning from travel outside of Canada, please follow the the Government of Canada's recommended 14 day self isolation period.

  • We are here to assist our clients; their health, safety and well-being is are our top priority. We will provide available information, so our clients can make informed decisions about their travel plans.
  • Our travel consultants are trained to monitor situations like weather disruptions, health situations or travel warnings that may impact their clients’ travel plans. As such, they also can work on alternate travel plans and can likely have those in place the moment the need arises.
  • Whether traveling domestically or internationally, our number one priority is always our clients’ safety and well-being.
  • We are advocates for our clients; and they know that by working with a true travel professional, we are there for them before, during, and after their trip should they need us –which gives them peace of mind.
  • We strongly encourage all clients, whether they are traveling domestically or internationally, to purchase travel insurance, particularly at the time travel is booked. Travel insurance offers an additional layer of protection for travelers, and can potentially help save hundreds or thousands of dollars if an unforeseen medical or travel emergency occurs.
