NOVEMBER 30 | DAY 1 EDMONTON TO TUCSON
The group will fly to Tucson on the new non-stop Flair Airlines route. Upon arrival, the group will be transferred to the Casino del Sol Resort in Tucson. Later this afternoon, enjoy a welcome drink and meet the rest of your travel companions. The rest of your evening is at leisure.
DECEMBER 1 | DAY 2 OLD PUEBLO TOUR
Discover Tucson's origins with a stop at The San Xavier del Bac Mission. Considered one of the finest examples of mission architecture in the United States and is called the "Sistine Chapel of the Southwest". As we continue, we will drive past Pima Air and Space, The Bone Yard, Barrio Historico, the El Presidio neighborhood, and the Snob Hollow neighborhood, then past the University of Arizona, featured with an insider's look at the heart of the academic community.
Finish off your journey with a stop at the Old Town Artisan, a restored adobe structure (circa 1860) located downtown Tucson. We will stop for lunch at El Charro Café – the oldest continuously family owned and operated Mexican Restaurant in Tucson. They offer a wide variety of Northern Mexican & Tucson style dishes.
DECEMBER 2nd | DAY 3 TUBAC AND TUMACACORI
Today we will journey south to visit Tumacacori National Historical Park. Lunch will be included in Tubac, with ample leisure time for shopping or browsing. December 2nd and 3rd the village of Tubac has their annual Luminaria Nights, with over 10,000 luminaria’s, holiday music, caroling in the streets, and Santa Claus. In addition, the galleries and shops will be open for holiday gifts.
DECEMBER 3rd | DAY 4 TOMBSTONE
Take a trip back to the “real” Old West. Experience historic sites such as Bird Cage Theatre, Crystal Palace, Boot Hill, the Tombstone Epitaph and much more. The re-enactment of the “Gunfight at the O.K. Corral” is included, as well as admission to the Tombstone Courthouse.
